William H. Teasley; Organizer TEDxYouth@TheBeltline and Founder of the Higher Ground Education Initiative "Haley's shared with an audience of over 100 TEDxYouth@TheBeltline attendees her journey that was both warm and familiar. Her story of the challenges that she faced during the middle school years and her determination, inspired by motivational words from her mother, that her sister and other girls would should not have to go through was riveting. Girl Talk is the embodiment of her commitment to her sister and to every young girls facing their middle school years. The audience was both moved and inspired by her journey and her desire to inspire others to be all that they can be. "

Dr. Nancy O’Reilly Psy.D.; Founder of WomenSpeak.com and WomenConnect4Good Foundation, Inc. Keynote Speaker and Author of Timeless Women Speak: Feeling Youthful – Missouri We immensely enjoyed having Haley (and company) out to share her enthusiasm about Girl Talk and her new book The Drama Years. The response from the crowd was engaging and interactive – the parents were involved, the girls were participatory, and the event was well attended by our Redmond Girl Talk Chapter. The entire evening encompassed so much of the weekly meetings that Jillian had been promoting and was the icing on the cake for this chapter and the surrounding communities!

Heather Rocker; CEO Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta – Atlanta, Georgia I had the pleasure of collaborating with Haley during The Drama Years book tour. She and her team made it easy and effective to meet the goals of both Girls Inc. and Girl Talk for the presentation. Haley has a wonderful presence onstage and was very engaging with our standing-room only crowd for girls and parents. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the stage with her and look forward to many more collaborations!

Michelle Ott; Middle School Guidance Counselor, Frisco Independent School District – Frisco, Texas We've been fortunate to have a number of super authors address our young people in Decatur, but Haley fully engaged the entire audience - youth, parents, and community members - right from the start! And, before she could even exit the stage, at the insistence of the audience, accepted an invitation to return to continue the conversation. Timely topics presented by someone who exudes gratitude, purpose, and interest in every single audience member. I'm not sure how it gets better than that!

Shawn Wilson; Usher’s New Look, President – Duluth, Georgia It was a pleasure to have Haley Kilpatrick as a part of the President’s Circle panel discussion earlier this year. Her story about why she took a stand against bullying was both positive and proactive. It is a great lesson for youth as well as adults. Part of what made her such a great speaker was her authenticity – she is as kind and nice of a person in life as she is when presenting on stage. Haley has a great energy that lights up a room and inspires those around her. I look forward to working with Haley again in the future!

Lou Sugo; Vice President of Marketing, Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. - Littleton, Colorado  Haley’s visit to Alcohol Monitoring Systems was a wonderful change of pace for the employees that visited with Haley. The moms and dads that attended the luncheon let it all hang out because they could immediately tell that Haley was interested in hearing their stories – and very willing to offer hugs and sage advice. The fact that Haley survived the drama years and is now a thriving author, speaker, and trusted advisor to so many parents demonstrates her ability to make a difference with everyone she meets.

Kara Friedman; LPC- Middle School Counselor, Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School – St. Louis, Missouri I had the pleasure of collaborating with Haley during The Drama Years book tour. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the stage with her and look forward to many more collaborations!

Kris Rogers; Counselor, Hyla Middle School - Bainbridge Island, Washington What a pleasure it was to have Haley Kilpatrick visit our campus as part of her Drama Years book tour! Haley spoke to students and parents alike about the difficulties of being in Middle School as well as gave practical advice on how to survive these challenging years. Haley presented in a way that was not only relatable, but she connected with the audience in a way that proved that she really understands this chapter of time in the students’ lives. Haley and her team were a pleasure to work with and our community as a whole was thrilled to have her join us. We welcome her back with open arms!

Mary Lou Roels; Broker, RE/Max Preference, Advisor, Redmond Girl Talk Chapter - Redmond, Washington The Girl Talk workshop at our middle school was incredible. Haley is a dynamic group facilitator who truly understands this age group and can read them well to keep them engaged at all times. Girl Talk is one of the best examples of peer mentoring I’ve seen in my career: the learning structure of peer mentoring is so powerful because girls listen differently to peers than to their parents. The program's emphasis on community service creates a way for girls to experience something beyond the social world of school.

Debbie Lentz; Assistant Librarian & Girl Talk Advisor, Deerfield Windsor School – Albany, Georgia Haley Kilpatrick, as a gifted speaker, brings to life the drama years of middle school girls, concerning issues that reveal the struggles of middle school girls.  Her presentation is enlightening for parents.  Her powerful message of bullies, brands, body image, and more provides young girls with a positive message in which to lead by example.

Kathryn Powell; 2012 Chairman of the Board, Atlanta Junior Chamber of Commerce – Atlanta, Georgia Haley Kilpatrick is such an inspiring and motivating individual through her words and actions. Her accomplishments to date would be impressive to someone of any age, but coming from a 26 year old is astounding. The Atlanta Jaycee's were honored to have her as our keynote speaker. She is a positive example for our membership base of young professionals to follow their dreams, work hard, and inspire those around them.

Carla F. Shelton; Principal, Harlem Middle School – Harlem, Georgia Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to speak to the students of Harlem Middle School. Please know your words and actions had a positive impact on all program attendees. Your presentation was truly amazing and timely. I appreciate how you went the extra mile to reach out to our students throughout the day. You are a remarkable young woman who has been blessed with a gift to positively impact the lives of children.

Thomas R. Lalla Jr.; Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Pernod Ricard USA – New York, New York Since Responsib’All Day, many employees here at Pernod Ricard USA have expressed to me their appreciation for your insightful presentation and admiration for the dedicated work that you are doing. I remain very impressed at how genuine you are in both your one-on-one encounters and presentations to a large audience. Some people never get there in their lifetimes; yet you have accomplished this in a relatively short period of time. Don’t ever lose sight of how valuable that is for you and the people’s lives that you touch.

Julie Kattmann; Middle School Counselor – Atlanta, Georgia Haley Kilpatrick demonstrates an exceptional interest and concern for the wellbeing of girls as they navigate the changes and challenges of the adolescent years! Haley is a dedicated professional with enthusiasm, courage, and a passion to empower and enlighten middle school girls as they mature through the adolescent years. What many witnessed was an emphasis of loving support and sound advice, reminding the girls they are not alone to navigate the halls of middle school drama. While the girls are gaining new skills, solving problems, and learning how to face challenges, they are also building lasting relationships with high school leaders and having fun along the way. Girl Talk truly touches the hearts of girls, and is an extraordinary program indeed!

Julie Foudy; former captain of the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team and founder of Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy Reason #4,587 on why I adore Haley Kilpatrick: She cares. She gets it. She doesn't just talk a good game. She LIVES a good game. She leads by example and has made it her life's work to help young women find their way. She spoke at our Leadership academy and our girls still talk about it. She was funny, engaging, and full of wonderful advice. I join the millions of others as a Haley Kilpatrick fan for life.

Lyndsay G. Murphy, Coordinator of Personal Counseling & Girl Talk Club Moderator, Marist School; Atlanta, GA Haley Kilpatrick is a dynamic and engaging speaker – the perfect person to reach young girls! Having Haley on campus drew in a crowd of younger girls entering the confusing world of late elementary and middle school, and allowed our high school girls to share and reach girls who would normally be outside their range. Parents should make the time to bring their daughters to this engaging, interactive experience – everyone will walk away with validation, perspective, and ideas on how to get through this critical time in a girl’s life!

Torry Torrance Moore, Guidance Counselor, Marsh Middle School; Dallas, Texas Haley Kilpatrick, as a gifted speaker, brings to life the drama years of middle school girls, concerning issues that reveal the struggles of middle school girls.  Her presentation is enlightening for parents.  Her powerful message of bullies, brands, body image, and more provides young girls with a positive message in which to lead by example.

Julia V. Taylor, Dean, Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy; Raleigh, North Carolina The Wake Young Women’s Leadership Academy (WYWLA) hosted Haley in Raleigh for her The Drama Year’s book tour.  We are Wake County’s first all girls’, public middle and high school and will open in August of 2012.  Haley’s talk was our inaugural event and it couldn’t have been more spectacular.  Haley gave an interactive, informative, and overall fun presentation to over 350 girls and their parents.  Parents and girls’ alike interacted in a way I have never seen.  When Haley opened the floor up for questions, the girls lined up to receive advice about surviving the tumultuous middle school years.  They literally poured their hearts out in front of the entire crowd, which is a true testament to how influential and genuine Haley is.  After the presentation, she signed books and spent a generous amount of time talking to our families.  Haley has an incredibly contagious spirit; it’s evident to all that she “gets it.”

Paula Collins, Chair, Board of Directors, Decatur Education Foundation; Decatur, GA We've been fortunate to have a number of super authors address our young people in Decatur, but Haley fully engaged the entire audience - youth, parents, and community members - right from the start! And, before she could even exit the stage, at the insistence of the audience, accepted an invitation to return to continue the conversation. Kelli Bynum, Ph.D., Director of Counseling Services, Middle and Upper Schools, Mount Vernon Presbyterian Schools; Atlanta, Georgia Having Haley speak to our students and faculty about the Girl Talk mission was a gift. Haley is able to speak in a truly genuine way and engage parents, educators and young girls. Out middle school girls left the presentation really talking about the word “ think” and the benefit of finding ways to give grace. Haley validates the numerous challenges of the middle school years in both her book and her presentation. It was a pleasure to work with her (Girl Talk) staff.

Gail Rothman, Executive Director, Decatur Education Foundation; Decatur, Georgia The Decatur Education Foundation was thrilled to host Haley's recent visit to our community. The response to the talk, the girl panel and The Drama Years has been phenomenal.  Given all that girls go through during adolescence, parents are (understandingly) concerned.  Haley's comfortable style and simple format gave parents concrete ideas about how they can support their daughters and model healthy behavior.  Having worked as an executive director of a  a girl-serving non-profit prior to coming to the Foundation, I was heartened to see that the message of  Desire to Inspire is both hopeful and empowering for girls and those who love them.

Marni Rebmann - Co-Chair Parent Education - Mary Institute Country Day School; St. Louis, Missouri Haley Kilpatrick is an exciting, dynamic speaker.  Within minutes she is able to transform a room full of cautious middle school girl to eager participants willing to share with the audience their own anecdotal experiences.  Her stories and strategies give mothers and daughters tools to navigate during and well beyond "The Drama Years"

Yvonne Riggs, YSC Coordinator, Kammerer Middle School and Ballard High School; Louisville, Kentucky I want to THANK Haley Kilpatrick and The Drama Years for coming to Kammerer Middle School and presenting a parent workshop on bullying. She has inspired me to develop a Girl Talk program at both of my schools. She also inspired a 5th grade student to speak about bullying at her school! The 5th grader cried, Haley cried, and so did the adults in the audience. We all know there's a big problem with girl drama and now is the time for us to provide serious resources for our girls and I truly believe that Girl Talk is the best resource out there!

Mia Vickers – Deputy Director and Teen Driver Safety Coordinator ;  TN Governor’s Highway Safety Office While planning our annual “Lead and Live” Youth Conference (which focuses on alcohol awareness, teen safe driving and making overall good life decisions) I asked Ron Engle with the Century Council if he could recommend a female speaker that could talk to a group of young girls about the consequences of alcohol.  Ron told me about Haley and her “Girl Talk” mentoring program.  I was really impressed with the information he sent me.  I went on to book Haley for the conference and I was not disappointed.  She not only discussed consequences of alcohol, including how it affects the body but also gave each girl the opportunity to open up and share personal experiences.  After reviewing comments received from participant evaluations, the results showed overwhelmingly that Haley and Girl Talk were a huge success!  A large number of the girls said that they learned a lot and wished that this program was at their schools!  Haley exceeded my expectations and I would love to have her present again!

Joann Trodahl, Project Coordinator, Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics & Character, Kennesaw State University Haley Kilpatrick was an honored guest and speaker at the 7th Annual Phenomenal Women’s Conference sponsored by the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics & Character.  The theme of the 2007 conference was “Shaping a Legacy of Leadership:  Invest in yourself for transformational change.”  Haley’s keynote “The Desire to Inspire” was an inspirational message to the 100+ women who attended the conference.  Expressions like “totally amazing,” “truly inspirational,” and “a credit to KSU” were all written in the conference evaluations.  She was a star at the 2007 conference and we are thrilled that she will again present at our upcoming 12th Annual Phenomenal Women’s Conference.  She is, indeed, an inspiration to all those who hear her story!

EbonnÄ“ Holyfield; Founder/ Executive Director; MÄ’ Movement Rarely is one privileged to come into contact with an individual that is as caring, creative, hard working, and impactful as Girl Talk founder & author of The Drama Years, Mrs. Haley Kilpatrick.  Haley possesses an unquenchable passion and skill set to help young teenage girls around the world build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, and recognize the value of community service.  As a leader she not only produces quality programming that betters young girls around the world but above all she leads by providing women of all ages with a powerful example of the greatness we can all accomplish if we work diligently, be of good service, and  believe.

Dan Lack, President JCI Atlanta Haley's inspirational talk at our JCI meeting was nothing short of absolutely incredible! I literally had dozens of our members comment that Haley was the best speaker our organization had ever had.  Her talk was authentic, practical, inspiring, humbling and one I will never forget.

Don Thompson, Mercer Alumni Meeting Haley spoke to a group of senior citizens and captivated them.  She was very friendly to the audience and was very clear in her presentation.

Gina Dugger; Connect Group Director; 7 Hills Church Haley Kilpatrick came to speak to our teenage girls a couple of years ago at our yearly girls conference. We were all blessed by Haley’s ability to connect with the girls and relate to the struggles young teenage girls face in life. The girls absolutely loved Haley and some still keep in touch with her through email. I would highly recommend Haley to minister to Teenage girls as well as disciple them on an individual basis. She is a dynamic speaker and young woman of God.

Mary Ellen McClanahan; Director, Governor’s Entrepreneur and Small Business Office; Georgia Department of Economic Development Haley Kilpatrick is professional, sweet and very approachable…with these qualities she keeps the attention of her audience.  With the great facts and impacts of Girl Talk, she impresses her audience.   Asking her to speak at state events has significantly helped us make community leadership more aware of how important it is to pay attention to youth – in our efforts to build entrepreneur environments throughout the state and to expose youth to entrepreneurial opportunities, Haley brings another approach and awareness to how certain situations in youth’s lives can change everything.
Haley is always willing to stay after she speaks in order to meet people and answer their questions.  She’s flexible in scheduling her time and will work with the meeting planner to make things convenient for everyone.

Mark Kasperowicz; Director of New Business Development; American Eagle Outfitters Because of her work with Girl Talk as a nationwide hero for teens, we chose Haley to be the spokesperson for our Live Your Life advertising campaign where she served as our nationwide role model inspiring people nationwide to live their lives and chase their dreams.  She traveled, on behalf of American Eagle, all over the country speaking and motivating youth.  We’ve had such incredible feedback and AE plans to ask her to be our spokesperson next year as well.”

Wendy Allerton; Dean, Ethel Walker Middle School; Simsbury, CT The program and even more than that, Haley's support, has proven to be a central part of our girls' lives at my school; and we have seen so many benefits. When Haley came to our school, her message was so positive and encouraging that the enthusiasm for Girl Talk was unstoppable. When you meet Haley and see this beautiful girl who is so "put together" and confident, you can't help but be impressed. Then, when you hear the story of what she went through in Middle School herself, it stops you in your tracks. Her experience of being bullied and not knowing who to go to is unfortunately all too common. But, rather than becoming a victim and allowing herself to be defeated, she took this experience as a challenge to reach out and help others and make sure that girls know that they do indeed have people they can go to, and that they don't have to be a victim or a bully in order to navigate the complicated Middle School years. Haley is so kind, smart, and engaging that the girls are immediately impacted by her message. I could not recommend her more highly. She is wonderful.

Garrett Gravesen; Co-Founder ADDO Institute Haley Kilpatrick can light up a stage.  She connects with each and every audience member in an all American way reminiscent of a young Julia Roberts.  Her words strike at the heart of each of us and provide an inspirational road map to a life worth living.
