National Girl Talk Leader of the Year Award:

Girl Talk is fortunate to have thousands of dedicated high school Leaders around the country who are making a difference in the lives of thousands of middle school girls every day. The rapid growth and success of Girl Talk can be directly attributed to these amazing young women. To honor these young women, Girl Talk has created the National Girl Talk Leader of the Year Award, given in honor of our Founding Sponsor, the Bell Family Foundation. This award is given each spring to a Girl Talk Leader in her senior year who best exemplifies the mission and values of Girl Talk and its Founder, Haley Kilpatrick. Ron Bell Family Foundation Inspirational Leader Award:

Ron Bell has demonstrated unwavering support for the mission and values of Girl Talk. As a tribute to Ron’s positive influence on thousands of Girl Talk girls, this award is presented to a young woman who has inspired others through her leadership, her mentoring and her community service.

The Give Love Laugh Scholarship was created to encourage high school Girl Talk Leaders to live a passionate and fulfilling life by creating positive change around them. This scholarship embodies the spirit of both Natural Life and Girl Talk and our shared desire to inspire girls to help make the world a better place. Natural Life and Girl Talk award one applicant a $2,500.00 cash scholarship to aid with her college career! Additionally, five chosen leaders receive $200 worth of inspiring Natural Life treasures for their college room!

Jill Campbell 
Board Chair 
Cox Communications, EVP & COO

Jill Campbell is Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Cox Communications. Campbell oversees the company’s day-to-day operations and ensures company-wide alignment with competitive strategies to enhance marketplace execution and grow the company’s 6 million residential and commercial customers. She provides leadership for Cox departments and divisions including: field operations, field services, customer care, marketing and sales, and public affairs.

Most recently, Campbell served as senior vice president of field operations where she was responsible for overseeing operations of all of Cox’s cable systems in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Nevada, New England, Oklahoma, Omaha and Virginia.

Campbell joined Cox in 1982 as Director of Communications in Oklahoma City, where she also served as Customer Service Manager and acting General Manager. She later served in several roles for Cox operations including Vice President and General Manager for Cox’s Bakersfield, Calif., and Santa Barbara, Calif., operations; Vice President of Customer Operations for Cox in Phoenix; and Vice President and General Manager for Cox’s Las Vegas operation. In 2001, she was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations for the Eastern Division, and in 2011 Campbell expanded her role to oversee operations for the company’s entire field systems.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Campbell also earned an MBA from Oklahoma City University.


Serena Levy

Coca-Cola Company, Corp. External Affairs Director 

Serena Levy is the Corporate External Affairs Director at The Coca-Cola Company. She is a communications professional with 10+ years of experience across a variety of marketing, internal, external and financial communications roles, who excels in communication strategy and management as well as message development.

Serena is also experienced in sustainability/CSR program development, index/rating agency applications and effective reporting against the GRI, UN Global Compact and other respected indices.


Wendy Bradshaw
Thirty One Gifts, Executive Director of Community Affairs & Philanthropy

Wendy Bradshaw joined Thirty-One Gifts in March 2011. As the Executive Director of Community Affairs & Philanthropy, Wendy was responsible for the creation and now management of Thirty-One Gives, the company’s charitable arm, and the company’s community & government relations initiatives.

Since its inception in 2012, Thirty-One Gives has donated more than $95 million dollars in cash and product to support nonprofit partners across the U.S. that support women, girls and families. Wendy is responsible for the development of the Gives Round Up! program, with net proceeds of $2 M in its first 2 years, and the development of the Thirty-One Gives U R U product Collection. Under Wendy’s leadership, the Thirty-One Gives Care Council, an advisory board of Consultants, was formed and named Girl Talk, Inc., World Vision, Girls on the Run, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House Charities as North American mission partners.

Bradshaw is a board member for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio & Girl Talk, Inc., an Ambassador Council Member for Nationwide Children’s Hospital & Research Institute and an Advisory Committee member of Celebrate One in Columbus, OH. Wendy, a Kent, Ohio native, now resides in Westerville with her daughter, Madeline (10), and son, Grayden (7).

Coleman Breland
Turner Network Sales, President 

Coleman Breland is president of Turner Content Distribution (TCD), the domestic distribution, sales and marketing arm of Turner and president of Turner Classic Movies (TCM). Breland’s responsibilities within TCD include overseeing affiliate sales, marketing promotion, interactive television and new technology business development for the news and entertainment networks of Turner. Breland supervises the sales and negotiations for Turner’s 10 domestic basic cable networks including, CNN, TNT, TBS and Cartoon Network, as well as the partnerships developed by Turner Private Networks and the Business Development group.

Breland was most recently chief operating officer for TCD, a role he assumed in 2009 after serving as executive vice president of sales and marketing of the distribution unit since 2003. In 1999, Breland joined the division as senior vice president of marketing and sales. Promoted in 1995 to senior vice president, marketing and sales, Breland was responsible for the strategic development and execution of THS’ marketing and revenue efforts. He joined Turner in 1994 as vice president of marketing for Turner Home Satellite (THS). Prior to joining Turner, Breland served as director of marketing and communications for Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting in Atlanta for more than six years.

Breland currently serves on the Board of Advisors for the Center for Ethics at Emory University, and on the board for the Covenant House of Georgia. He is also a member of the CTAM Educational Foundation Board of Directors and of the Piedmont Park Conservancy. He holds a Master of Arts degree in journalism, radio, television and film from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Pfeiffer College in North Carolina. In addition, he completed a graduate study program at Edinburgh University in Scotland.

Jennifer R. Dangar

Jackson Healthcare, Chief of Corporate Operations

Within Corporation Operations, Dangar oversees the company's resource teams and partners with company leaders to support growth and excellence. In her 20 plus years of senior leadership, Jennifer Dangar's breadth of responsibilities has included strategy, sales, marketing, business development, research & insights, contract negotiation, new product launches and operations.

Prior to Jackson Healthcare, Dangar served as chief strategy officer & president of distribution for The Weather Company (Weather). In that role, she provided strategic direction and leadership across Weather's portfolio of products and companies. She also led contract negotiations, distribution and business development with top national distribution partners.

Prior to Weather, she held leadership positions at various content companies, including Discovery Communications, Turner Broadcasting, C-SPAN, and In Demand. She was chair of the board of Women in Cable in Telecommunications and held leadership positions on various telecom industry boards. She has been recognized for her contributions to the telecom industry, garnering numerous awards and accolades.

Dangar is a graduate of Tulane University. She, her husband, and two children live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Siddarth Desai

Senior Vice President, Corporate Efficiency Office, Suntrust 

Siddharth Desai is currently a Senior Vice President at SunTrust Bank within SunTrust’s Corporate Efficiency Office. Prior to this role, he led the Strategy and Business Management function within SunTrust’s Infrastructure and Engineering division. Prior to SunTrust, he worked at UBS and Accenture in New York City.

Siddharth grew up in Atlanta and graduated from the Lovett School before earning his B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, Jasmina, and their two children.

Victoria Dlugosz 

Comcast Cable, Director of Community Affairs

Victoria Dlugosz is the Regional Director of Community Affairs for Comcast’s Big South Region, relocating to Atlanta from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2014. In her role, Victoria is responsible for developing the strategy and managing the execution of key community investment activities, including the following signature programs: Comcast Cares Day, Leaders & Achievers Scholarships, United Way, and Internet Essentials. Victoria holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Messiah College.

After graduation, Victoria worked for Woods Services, a leading advocacy and service organization for people with exceptional challenges, disabilities, and complex needs in the Philadelphia metro area. In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of more than 400 volunteers, she identified process gaps and made improvements that allowed for more efficient and effective program operations. Her biggest achievement was revamping and formalizing a Volunteer Training Program.

Victoria transitioned from nonprofit work to the corporate sector when she joined Accenture, a world leader in business management consulting, technology, and outsourcing services. As a management consultant, she worked with government and telecommunications clients on a variety of projects, including statewide financial implementation, product operations, enterprise project management, and C-suite leadership development.

She resides in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, and enjoys fitness, traveling, and the beach.

Hetal Gordon
Google, Director - Global Client Lead

Hetal Gordon is currently Director, Global Client Lead at Google based in Atlanta, leading the Global Partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company and McDonald’s. She has been with Google for over ten years and has worked across many industries including Retail, Travel, and now Consumer Packaged Goods. Prior to joining Google in 2006, she was at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. She started her career on the advertising agency side working in New York and London.

Hetal earned her BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis. When she’s not busy being at Google, she is spending time with her husband, Fergus, and their three children Jaya (9), Henry (7), and Manu (3).

Sloan Kennedy
HBO, VP of Domestic Network Distribution 

Sloan Kennedy is the Vice President, Domestic Network Distribution, for Home Box Office, responsible for overseeing the distribution for HBO and Cinemax programming with two of the company's largest domestic distributors. This includes driving subscription distribution and marketing strategies for the HBO and Cinemax brands on linear, On Demand, online (HBO GO/MAX GO) and the company's newest standalone streaming service, HBO NOW.

With over 20 years' experience in the cable industry, Kennedy has worked in both the basic and premium subscription sectors. Prior to HBO, she was Vice President, Affiliates Sales, for Tech TV, and also held posts at Encore Media, The Weather Channel, and E! Entertainment Television. She began her career in the fashion industry in New York City with Liz Claiborne and held positions in sales, product merchandising, and event marketing.

Kennedy is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS), the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT) and was named a WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute Fellow in 2007. She also served as a trustee on the board of the Atlanta Ballet for six years from 2004 - 2012.

Kennedy holds a BA degree from Hollins College in Roanoke, VA and has studied internationally at the Southern Methodist University in Spain.

Wonya Lucas
Public Broadcasting Atlanta, President & CEO

Wonya is president and CEO of Public Broadcasting Atlanta - the entity that oversees WABE- 90.1 FM and WPBA-TV channel 30. She is an Atlanta native, who has spent most of her career in the media and broadcasting industry.

Prior to working at Public Broadcasting Atlanta, she worked for eight years at CNN and Turner Broadcasting System before going to the Weather Channel, where she served as executive vice president and general manager.

Then in 2008, she left The Weather Channel to become chief operating officer of the Discovery Channel and the Science Channel as well as the corporate marketing officer for Discovery Communications.

She then served as president and CEO of TV One from August 2011 through November 2012 before moving back to Atlanta to start her own company - Lucas Strategic Consultants, which focused on media strategy, content, marketing and distribution - many of the skills that she has brought to PBA.

Wonya holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School and a BIE from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Reide Onley
Oldcastle, Sr. VP of Business Development & Digital Operations 

Reide Onley is the Senior Vice President of Business Development at Oldcastle. His 25 years of business development activities have focused primarily on relationships. He's learned one valuable lesson: people do business with people, not companies.

His business development efforts have been focused in the commercial construction, material manufacturing, land development and design industries in the hospital, corporate office, healthcare, retail, industrial and mixed-use market segments coast to coast. Specialized in developing relationships, connecting people and companies and securing financing across multiple business sectors. In a collaborative spirit, he has focused on developing corporate strategies and connecting people with opportunities and progressive ideas while always adding value. He has worked for or partnered with some of the world's most successful general contractors, construction management firms and development professionals on some of our nations more complicated, largest construction projects and pursuits.

Reide holds a BLA from the University of Georgia and a BA from Birmingham - Southern College.

Beth Park

Beth is a wife and mother of three children - two teenaged daughters and a teenaged son. She and her husband, David, are from Toronto, Canada and all of their children were born in Canada. She is extremely passionate about serving her community and has served on several boards.

She loves Girl Talk, because she knows the impact that girls have on each other and their self-esteem. Beth is passionate that middle school isn't something to 'get through' or to survive. Instead, she believes it should be fun and without such emotional, personal challenges!

Karin Schwab

Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Americas & Global Product and Technology, eBay

Dr. Karin Schwab joined eBay in 20015 and has been serving on the Americas Business Leadership team for over four years. Karin and her team provide legal support and strategic guidance to eBay’s business teams in the Americas and the Global Product and Technology organization. Before relocating to the U.S. from Switzerland in 2013, she held multiple roles including leading the European legal team for over 4 years and serving on the European Business Leadership team. Prior to joining eBay, Karin was working at Homburger, a major international business law firm in Switzerland.

Karin was born and raised in Switzerland. After completion of her legal studies at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), Karin earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in IP and Information Technology at Queen Mary, University of London (UK), and completed her Ph.D. at the University of Zurich (Switzerland) in e-commerce law. She is admitted to the California Bar and the Swiss Bar.

Karin is married and a proud mother of an 8-year-old daughter.

Nicole Upshaw

Executive Director of Human Resources, RaceTrac

Nichole Upshaw began her career at RaceTrac 12 years ago as Staffing Coordinator in our Florida regions. She leads the Field HR Teams and various HR functions at the Store Support Center, including: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Experience and The Learning Center. Prior to her current role, Upshaw served as Hiring Supervisor, HR Manager and Director of Field HR.

Upshaw has served on a number of internal committees and taskforces, as a founding member of LEAD, RaceTrac’s women’s initiative designed to Link, Empower, Achieve and Develop future leaders, the Charitable Giving Committee, Innovation Committee, 401K Committee, Enterprise Talent Committee and the Workplace Strategy Team. Externally, she sits on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce HR Committee and on the NACS Convention Content Committee.  She is also a member of the Network of Executive Women. Outside of RaceTrac, she enjoys reading, traveling and living life with her husband Donnie and two daughters Chloe and Harper.
